Lay and pray?

Recently I wom some fights and received some from several people calling me a 'lay nd pray *'.
However, I don't even know what that is, something like parry spam? I hardly ever parry so I don't know what they're getting at...|||this means they are claiming all you did was constantly laid on top of them and stalling ,throwing very little punches it is basically the opposite of ground and pound go watch any of jake sheilds fights he loves to lay and pray he throws the weakest punches and hardly if ever tries to end the fight. I personally think a well more rounded gameplan is the best have some striking some ground a nice mix|||

Lay and pray is an mma term for wrestlers who take top position and don't finish. It's a strategy of laying on top of your opponent and praying you dont get stood up. See Jon fitch, Josh Koscheck, Grey Maynard, Matt Lindland, Chael Sonnen for examples. In this game I'm not sure how lay and pray works because if you are inactive on top finishing becomes pretty easy.|||

It's where you take it to the ground and just lay on the guy and slowly pick at their stamina and health to get the win.|||Oh that's funny, seeing as they went for the takedown first, I just sprawled and took their back haha. Is it a cheap strategy then? I don't go for transitions unless I know I can get them, if their stamina is halfway down.|||Realistic tactic win.|||

Realistic tactic win.

Haha
And yeah I hate when people take me down an then complain about the ground game. I get a lot of hate for triangling people when they take me down then sit an hold block in my guard. I usually only do it when they give no other choice or when I know they are setting up a heel hook
