Idea for UFC Online League in EA MMA

Hey, guys.
I just had a crazy idea and decided to post a summarized version of it, to see if someone gets interested. If someone does get interested in some or all aspects of it, I’ll post the details accordingly. And if this still looks like too long a read for your reading mood, I plea that you read the bold parts.
The thing is an UFC league on EA MMA. It’s a very long shot, but it just could become the ultimate experience in MMA gaming. Here are the defining aspects of it:
ROSTER STATS SYSTEM
A practicable, solid and fair way to determine the roster stats (not to mention, using the UFC hyped roster in the superior EA MMA game), better than what both franchises have offered. This would have some sub-features to make things work:
The Freedom Cap
The new Max Stat becomes the Lower Max of the weight division and specialty. So, for MW, for instance, the Max for Stats that don’t depend on division would be 89; the Max for Power Stats, 76; and for Speed Stats, 86 (if I remember correctly). This means we wouldn’t be bound to Specialties, and would be able to edit the Roster Stats in freedom. And with these relatively low maxes, the points given to insta-cafs would probably be more than enough to satisfy our needs even for Anderson Silva.
Tiers
There are ways to go about this and I have thought about the details. Two or three tiers, with fighters from a certain tier being just as good as each other. The tiers could be determine by official rankings or other criteria, such as number of titles, etc. Using fighters from a lower tier would give player more points, specially if they fight a higher tier fighter (this will be detailed in another topic). There would also be a tendency to pair up fighters from the same or similar tiers, to increase fairness. Furthermore, a system to swap (and conquer) fighters.
Objective Data
We would define objective criteria to determine the increase or decrease of each stat. Than, we would gather the data for each fighter, as much as we can. Doing it perfectly or even a lot wouldn’t be necessary, because there would also be the subjective data. To determine a guy’s chin we could look into how many times he has been knocked out, TKO’ed, stunned, all those, but related to number shots he took, or the fights he had, etc. We could work together to determine the objective criteria. I have thought about a lot of them, already.
Subjective Data
The objective data can only do so much. After applying it, we would use Subjective Data, like some epic submission, or extreme survival to boost the fighter’s stats towards his tier level. There could also be some nerfing of apparently less important stats, to adjust a fighter to his tier level.
Review
This would be mostly about comparing the fighters. The steps above could still have weird results like a guy having better chokes than the other, when we subjectively think it isn’t the case. Then we can simply adjust it, with nerfing or/and boosting, and then compensating with different, less important stats, so the tier level can be balanced again. So we would have the best roster so far, aside from presentation and ‘officalness’.
LEAGUE SYSTEM
Player/Coach Ranking as Separated from Fighter Ranking
The players would be considered coaches. They wouldn’t be bound to fighter, forever. There would be a Player Ranking and a Fighter Ranking. And the lower the Fighter Tier the greater the reward in points the Coach/Player would get for a victory. So it would be possible to have player’s fighter ahead of mine, when I, as a coach/player, am higher than him.
Tier Match-Up Criteria
When other criteria such as Rank wouldn’t define match-ups, the Fighter Tier would be taken into consideration. Fighters from the same or similar tier should be paired. There would eventually be bouts between fighters from different tiers, but the next feature would help to bring more fairness into this.
Fighter Switching and Conquering
A Player would be assigned to a Fighter with a minimum contract of 3 (or other number) fights. After these 3 fights, there would be no need to renew a contract of other 3 fights. The player would simply be free to keep using the fighter or abandon him at any time. If the minimum of 3 fights doesn’t get in the way, players can swap fighters at will.
But things get more fun with Conquering Fighters. You may not be able to cling to Anderson Silva forever, for instance. Even with the Separate Rankings for Players and Fighters, people may still wish to cling to a high tier fighter. But people would be able to snatch that fighter from him. The criteria I have in mind is: if I beat you, I can steal your fighter (and you get mine or other fighter available). There is also the minimum contract thing, both yours and my minimum 3 fights contract have to be carried on, before the switch takes place. So, if I at my 2nd contract fight beat you at your 1st contract fight, I as a Player, am entitled to your fighter and will be able to claim him when both contracts are over. If I’m entitled to your Fighter, you cannot swap him at will with another Player - if your contract ends and mine is still active, you just gotta wait with that Fighter, until I get it. Even if I, as a Player, am stolen from my Fighter and forced into another 3 fights contract with yet another available fighter, you gotta wait.
Things get complicated when more than one Player beat a desired Fighter. Then, there must be a criteria to determine which Player is entitled to the Fighter. It most simple is who beats him first. But there might be others, such as who finishes him first (might be the number of rounds, since measuring the time can be difficult), and in the case of decision, the best score cards, and if still tied, who beat him first (fought first). This last one would make people more aggressive when they want to still a certain fighter.
Fair Start
Regardless of the current UFC Ranking, the league should start with some sort of Grand Prix, with the tiers been paired as much as possible.
Stats Update
This is particularly optional, but, if according to the criteria to define a fighter’s tier, the fighter is able to change his tier, in real life, by climbing the ranks, winning a title, etc., his tier could be modified in our league, and probably other fighter’s tier decreased, as compensation. There could even be a ready system to determine how the stats would increase or decrease if the tier changes (so we wouldn’t have to re-do the whole process of determining the stats).

I have fought in both the EFC and the UFF online leagues and I appreciate them both. All I want is for people to check out these ideas, and if we have players interested in playing a league such as this (specially the fighter conquering stuff), I’d be happy to be one of the organizers. I can’t build a site for it, but this could be carried on a site an already existing league that is interested in hosting it.
I have a ton more details in mind, so, if you wanna hear it, whether it be a particular topic or about the whole thing, let me know. If you like this summarized concept and you think you’d play in such league, plz, let us know.
Thank you for reading!
